The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

About Me

I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch (cum laude) in Cape Town, South Africa. Hereafter, I completed a yearlong internship at Lentegeur Psychiatric hospital where I worked at the Child and Family Unit, the Intellectual Disabilities Unit, the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for adults and a community-based outpatient clinic. I completed my community service year at a correctional facility where I provided mental health services to a broad spectrum of adult inmates. I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF).

As a clinical psychologist, my training and experience enable me to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. These include serious mental health problems such as depression or anxiety as well as ordinary life difficulties such as struggling with a life adjustment, relationship problems, grief or other emotional or existential concerns. I am comfortable offering therapy in English and Afrikaans.
